Lantern festival

This long weekend has been jam-packed with events and festivals! I totally missed out on all this last summer.

First there was a 2 day lantern festival at the local shrine, with tons of lanterns and food stalls! I dressed up in a yukata I borrowed from Holly. :) The streets were insanely crowded and with a bunch of ALTs in our group, we were getting stopped every three steps by students!

The trick is to leave before the conversation gets awkward. "Hey! How are you? Are you enjoying the festival?/Did you eat some good food? Ok, have fun!" is the best way to go.
