Following yesterday's "dust storm", our friendly neighborhood volcano, Sakurajima, decided to lavish us with her love again today!
It looked cloudy outside all day and I was prepared for rain as we were leaving the office. Out of nowhere, it started raining ash! It actually looked like rain in a way as you could even see the "slant" in the wind! What's it like? Well...just imagine standing at an intersection as a huge truck sweeps up a load of dust right into your face, except in all directions!

A very "ashy" intersection at Temonkan

Eli was not impressed

Sarah's poor Hello Kitty bag... notice all the black specks of ash!

On your clothes, bags, umbrellas... and also in your eyes and mouth.
There is no escape from the grainy little pests.

I'm really not that hard working.

Think that's just dirt? WRONG!

And finally, a picture of the mastermind behind it all...
with a very nonchalant boy floating by.
